Six years ago, UNCAGED was just beginning its journey to rethink what materials could be. Today, we’re being invited into some of the industry’s most important conversations around next-generation materials, fashion, deep tech, commercialization, and climate innovation.
For us, that marks a significant milestone. These are the rooms where the industry is tackling many of the same questions we have been working on from the start: How do breakthrough materials move from the lab into real products? What does it take to scale them? And how do we build the partnerships, infrastructure, and investment needed to accelerate adoption?
Over the coming weeks, those conversations will bring us to a series of key events across New York, with a particularly strong presence at Climate Week NYC. UNCAGED at New York Fashion Week 2026
New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is one of the world’s major fashion weeks, held twice a year in New York City, where leading and emerging designers debut upcoming collections to buyers, media, celebrities, and the broader fashion industry.

During New York Fashion Week UNCAGED Co-Founder and CEO, Stephanie Downs, will speak at the Sustainable Design Impact Hub Fashion × Deep Tech. The one-day gathering brings designers, scientists, founders, investors, and industry leaders together to explore how deep-tech innovation can become part of the future of fashion.
UNCAGED at Climate Week NYC 2026
Climate Week NYC is one of the world’s most influential gatherings for climate action, bringing more than 100,000 people together across over 1,000 events throughout New York. Taking place alongside the United Nations General Assembly, it puts business leaders, policymakers, investors, innovators, and organizations in the same city at a moment when decisions around climate, capital, and markets are being shaped.

A Climate-Friendly, Total Ethics Fashion Future
Join us for a short lecture from Collective Fashion Justice founding director, Emma Håkansson, about total ethics fashion, high-impact materials, methane emissions, how climate and ethics intersect, and the material solutions we can use to create a more responsible fashion future. The lecture will be followed by a screening of the short film, SHIRINGA: Fashion Regenerating Amazonia, as well as a panel discussion between Emma, Parsons’ John Bartlett, and our Co-Founder and CEO, Stephanie Downs.

Korea Climate Tech Summit
We’ll close out our September event calendar at the Korea Climate Tech Summit, where climate innovation meets the capital and partnerships needed to scale it. The summit brings together founders, investors, corporate leaders, and climate experts while strengthening connections between the Korean and U.S. climate tech ecosystems. UNCAGED was selected as one of the few startup companies to pitch and present.
